The “B Litter”, Orsam x Disco is an outcross breeding and the results were more than expected. These pups exhibited the drives of the malinois, the intelligence of the groenendael, ideally what I wanted. Typical of the groenendael (or Belgian Sheepdog) the rate of maturity was slower than that of most working malinois litters. These pups have proven to have stable nerves, very social temperaments and lots of drive for high performance sport dogs or working dogs. This litter produced 7 puppies, 4 Groenendael and 3 Tervuren.

Three gorgeous silvery fawn tervs came from this litter. These pups are with wonderful owners who enjoy playing Frisbee, going on hikes and who enjoy their intelligence and companionships. “Giacomo” showed great potential for police or sport protection work, large, strong and stable. “Sophie” and “Mari” were tested on ducks and sheep at 3 months of age showing incredible ability for such young pups in their sense of rating the livestock and confidently controlling their livestock.

The “C Litter" was a repeat of the Orsam x Disco breeding and only produced one puppy, "Jairam," Chittaprasad Jairam du Volant, who is not only very pretty but very talented and driven. “Jairam” has been training for Search and Rescue trailing with K9 Special Teams in the Portland OR area and expected to be mission ready mid to late 2009. Disco was ultrasounded at 28 days which showed a full litter. However, the San Diego fires occurred surrounding our location just prior to whelp and we believe she absorbed the rest of the litter late but produced this wonderful boy.

The "E Litter" is again a repeat of the Orsam x Disco breeding and produced 3 puppies this June. These puppies are sold.

The "A Litter"

The "D Litter," Uvar x Disco, produced 4 boys and 4 girls. This litter was also an outcross breeding yet very consistent in looks and temperament as well as drives. Uvar thus far has been the only American line Belgian Sheepdog I have chosen to incorporate in my breedings. I’ve known Uvar since he was a young dog and have always admired his tremendous work ethic and his ability to be versatile. Uvar has thrown some wonderful pups in previous litters that are performing jobs in the real world or performing in AKC performance events as well as becoming conformation champions.

These pups are too young to OFA but are training in wildlife detection, agility, obedience, herding and Dynamique is a beautiful statement in the AKC conformation ring.
