Seven wonderful pups born March 28, 2011 in homes doing service work, herding, agility.

Meet "Fate du Volant", "Firestorm du Volant" "Frieja du Volant", "Follow My Shadow du Volant", Fuze du Volant, Fame du Volant and "Flying Quick Nick"

These pups are bred to be correct to the AKC Belgian Sheepdog breed standard with high drives, strong work ethic, and strong temperaments.  As all of the Volant Litters have been raised, they are conditioned to many people, sounds, other dogs, horses, from the beginning.

Buyers wanting competition agility, obedience, schutzhund homes or working tracking, scent detection or medical assistant service dogs would appreciate the character, drive and athletic ability of this litter. 

The Volant pups are bred to be correct to the breed standard focusing on temperament, health and functional structure with strong angulation allowing for really good jumping ability.

A'Hurricane Du Volant

A'Hurricane loves to bite, had training on a bite and in this photo, is happy to take time to give his affection to Ryan Libs who was disabled in an accident.

A'Feisty du Volant was training in IPO and PSA, showed an awesome bite and her retrieve was beyond awesome. She was sold to a police K9 department and dual trained in narcotics and patrol work. She is a wonderful family dog when she is not working.

'A' Zane du Volant" lives in South Dakota where he loves frisbee and is the "demo dog" for his owner's dog obedience training.

"A'Grinley du Volant" lives iin Washington and trains in SAR with particular training for avalanche work.

The “B Litter”, Orsam x Disco is an outcross breeding and the results were more than expected. These pups exhibited the drives of the malinois, the intelligence of the groenendael, ideally what I wanted. Typical of the groenendael (or Belgian Sheepdog) the rate of maturity was slower than that of most working malinois litters. These pups have proven to have stable nerves, very social temperaments and lots of drive for high performance sport dogs or working dogs. This litter produced 7 puppies, 4 Groenendael and 3 Tervuren.

Three gorgeous silvery fawn tervs came from this litter. These pups are with wonderful owners who enjoy playing Frisbee, going on hikes and who enjoy their intelligence and companionships. “Giacomo” showed great potential for police or sport protection work, large, strong and stable. “Sophie” and “Mari” were tested on ducks and sheep at 3 months of age showing incredible ability for such young pups in their sense of rating the livestock and confidently controlling their livestock.

The “C Litter" was a repeat of the Orsam x Disco breeding and only produced one puppy, "Jairam," Chittaprasad Jairam du Volant, who is not only very pretty but very talented and driven. “Jairam” has been training for Search and Rescue trailing with K9 Special Teams in the Portland OR area and expected to be mission ready mid to late 2009. Disco was ultrasounded at 28 days which showed a full litter. However, the San Diego fires occurred surrounding our location just prior to whelp and we believe she absorbed the rest of the litter late but produced this wonderful boy.
